What is a door drop seal?

A door drop seal is a type of gasket installed on the bottom edge of the door to seal the space between the door and the floor. It is designed in such a way that when the door is closed, this seal rests against the floor, thus preventing air, dust, noise or even moisture from passing between the interior and exterior of the room. It also allows the door to open and close smoothly without excessive resistance, as the seal rises when the door is open. This is especially useful for exterior doors, where sealing can help maintain proper interior temperatures and reduce heat loss.

The drop seal can be used in steel, aluminum, PVC doors, as well as in smoke, fire or burglar proof doors.
